Email Kyle White

Born in Westville, Durban, Kyle's family moved to the sleepy Eastern Cape coastal town of Kenton-on-Sea when he was 11-years old. But it was while doing grade 11 that he discovered his talent and ultimate passion for the entertainment industry when he was introduced into the line-up of a Port Elizabeth based youth radio station, Bay FM. He continued with that gig until he started his first year, as a Journalism student, at Rhodes University in 2006.

"When I was at varsity I then joined the line-up for Rhodes Music Radio (RMR), as a news reader. And during my stay I in Grahamstown I also pursued my passion for music, by playing at numerous clubs and it was at these venues, that I got the opportunity to play alongside South Africa's favourite DJ's such as Lady Lea, Craig De Sousa, Roger Goode etc." comments Kyle.

Towards the end of his first year at Rhodes University, Kyle involved himself in the MTV Base VJ search and made it into the last five at the Port Elizabeth auditions, but the bagpipe-playing hip-hop fan wasn't satisfied with the outcome so he travelled to the Johannesburg audition the following weekend for one last shot at fame and fortune - and this time, scored the jackpot, cracking one of the four places in the final.
