Email Zinhle Dube
Zinhle Mntomuhle Dube was born on 6 January 1988 in Durban and grew up in Mayville, KwaZulu Natal. She attended Namblakayise Primary School and finished her schooling at Mayville Secondary School in Durban. The eldest of four children, she is a self-trained singer and performer and has been singing in choirs for most of her life.
With a keen interest in gospel and jazz, these two genres have greatly influenced her music. Over the years, she's also been mesmerised by the strong performances of Beyonce.
Originally, this POPSTAR wanted to become a Chartered Accountant but her love for being on stage and singing overtook her accountancy dreams early in her life. Her music career so far has yielded two significant occasions: an Australian tour with a Zulu choir and her most memorable moment was when she performed at a music show in front of 10 000 people. This was the bravest and scariest moment of her entire life so far.
