Email CM Punk
He's muscular, he's huge and he is so scary, he'd make your grandmother cry but these are the qualities that have lead to CM Punk's WWE success and his title as the new World Heavyweight Champion.
Born as Phillip Jack Brooks in October 1978, CM Punk got his first taste of wrestling through a stint in a backyard wrestling federation called the Lunatic Wrestling Federation with his friends in the mid-late 1990s. It was while living in Chicago and seeing heated rivalries between the likes of Rowdy Piper and Jimmy Snuka that CM Punk realised sports entertainment was his destiny.
Having started his WWE career in 2005, he quickly moved to the ECW brand where he established himself by being undefeated in the singles competition for six months followed by winning the ECW Championship a few months later. In the 2008 WWE Draft, CM Punk was moved from ECW to Raw and in his first week on Raw cashed in his MITB (Money In The Bank) briefcase to face, and subsequently defeat, Edge for the World Heavyweight Championship.
Weighing in at 101kg, this is one wrestler you do not want to mess with.CM Punk's straight edge style (a lifestyle where followers commit to refrain from using alcohol, tobacco, and recreational drugs) is a gimmick that he has used, as well as followed in real life, throughout his illustrious career.
As an avid world traveler, CM Punk has picked up and learnt many fighting styles (Muay Thai Boxing and Brazilian Jujitsu) that he now includes in his ring matches. With his signature Shining Wizard, Punk Handle Drive and ever popular Pepsi Plunge moves, CM Punk is a force to be reckoned with.
One thing you can be sure about is that the king of the Raw ring, CM Punk, is here to stay.
