As the winner of a radio station contest, Cedric gets two tickets to see the Chicago Bulls play the final game of the NBA playoffs. When Cedric asks him to go along, Steve couldn't be happier. However, thinking she should be Cedric's date has Lovita upset. To help out, Regina suggests that Cedric buy Lovita an expensive gift. Meanwhile, Rosalind secretly cancels the school cafeteria's order for hamburger because she's a vegetarian. When it looks like the Bulls are going to win the championship series in game six, Cedric decides to take Regina's advice and buy Lovita a gift. Certain that game seven will never take place anyway, he sells the tickets to the playoffs to raise the cash he needs. However, when the Bulls end up losing after all, Steve is ecstatic about going to the seventh game, unaware that Cedric already sold their tickets for $1,000. Meanwhile, Regina blames Lovita when the school doesn't get their hamburger order. As Steve is getting ready for the big game, Cedric is forced to admit that he no longer has the tickets. And while Lovita couldn't be happier, no one else is willing to endorse Cedric's decision. Meanwhile, seeing how the missing meat has poisoned Regina's relationship with Lovita, Rosalind steps forward to admit responsibility. Finally, seeing how he has upset Steve, Cedric offers to take the money he has left over so they can buy two tickets from a scalper. But when the man they approach about a pair of seats turns out to be an undercover cop, they end up watching the game on television from jail.
