While Cedric has volunteered up to be a Big Brother to a fatherless teenage boy, Steve has no intention of doing so, too. However, when Cedric's Little Brother arrives, Steve discovers that his best friend is a big fan. And once Cedric and Junior head off to a big wrestling match, Steve is left to entertain young Vincent. Meanwhile, Romeo is persuaded to invite Sophia to the birthday party at a popular club, but insists that Junior and Vincent are too young to come. When his party is bumped by the club in favor of one for a star basketball player's nephew, Romeo is left without a place to celebrate. Turning to his teachers for help, he gets Steve and Cedric to be the hosts. And when Junior and Vincent arrive without an invitation and immediately start making themselves at home, Romeo insists that they leave at once, even though Sophia doesn't agree. But, when the eager eighth graders overhear Steve say that he's only reluctantly spending time with them, they leave the party with Sophia close behind. Back at school, Sophia is still unhappy over Romeo's treatment of Junior and Vincent. Although Romeo is sure she'll be back, Sophia decides the time has come for the two of them to be just friends. Meanwhile, after Regina notes that making up with Vincent is going to take time and effort, Steve arranges to meet while Cedric is out with the boys. And once Steve apologizes, Vincent agrees to give him another chance, but only after learning some of Steve's dance moves from his days with the band.
