America’s most beloved former first lady Tess Carlisle (MacLaine) has retired to the Ohio countryside in the wake of her husband’s death. Still a feisty woman, Tess is accustomed to getting her way and enjoys ordering her staff around.

Her head of security Doug Chesnic (Cage) has finally had enough of her mundane requests and wants a transfer to another position in the secret service. But when the meddling matriarch intervenes to have Doug permanently stationed in her employ,  the tension between the two mounts.

When danger arrives on their doorstep can they put their differences aside to ensure no harm comes to Tess?
