A workaholic medical resident, Dr. Elizabeth Masterson, falls into a deep coma when she is involved in a near fatal car accident. Several months later, David Abott, who’s still grieving over his wife’s death, sublets Elizabeth’s apartment but Elizabeth’s spirit has not quite yet evacuated.
After several frightening and awkward encounters both soon realise neither one is planning on leaving soon! Elizabeth can’t remember anything about her life and David sets out to solve the mystery of who she really is. As they come closer to uncovering the truth, they understand their meeting was no coincidence and that fate has brought them together for a reason. But as their relationship deepens into romance, they soon realise Elizabeth’s time on earth is slowly coming to an end.
