He is the grotesquely depraved head of Redemption Records (whose products are mainly uplifting gospel), and the owner of 9-Nine fm and its affiliated youth magazine. Devil David - dark prince of all that is evil and awful - will do such terrible things over the next few months that a petrified Ziyanda (Linda Sokhulu), the Inyanga he regularly consults, will flee...forever turning her back on her gift and calling.
David, who murders and plunders as regularly as other businessmen lunch (but he does have a wicked sense of humour), is sulking over his lover Lu's continued absence while she rebuilds her singing career. Having sex with Diphuka (Tshepi Mashego), Lu's young niece, is his new pastime. He will however have to deal with the girl most harshly when she starts making demands and plans for their future together, never mind declaring her love for him.
He will also have to severely punish Nonti, his newly appointed and magnificently manipulative marketing manager (with a mysterious past), when she dares to blackmail him.
And if that isn't enough of a busy schedule, David has to tend his vicious vendetta against the Vilakazi men and their enterprise, Hustle Records.
