Finally, the Muslim Judicial Council buckle under pressure and agree to face 3rd Degree's Debora Patta, in a no-holds-barred interview.

After the Halaal meat scandal erupted in Cape Town late last year, 3rd Degree attempted for weeks to question the body that controls Halaal certification in the Western Cape. We wanted to find out from the MJC how the process works, what checks and balances are in place, and most important, what happens to the money generated from certification?

With Muslims terrified that they might have unknowingly eaten pork, we wanted to find out how this could have happened on their watch.

But the MJC refused point blank to speak to us.

Now, after what some commentators have termed a total PR disaster, executive member of the MJC Moulana Abdul Fataagh Carr steps into the hot seat.

Hooker returns to Chinatown to track down suppliers of illegally imported auto-matic weapons from North Vietnam. These weapons have been causing havoc in this small community. In a Chinatown warehouse, a cockfight is in progress and a lot of money is passing between the gambling spectators. As young George Po, with his date Nancy Khan, bends over to retrieve some dropped money, he whispers into a miniature microphone, speaking to three armed associates waiting outside. On his signal the three rush in and hold up the crowd. When shots are fired, Hooker and Romano are dispatched to the scene, backed up by Stacy and Corrigan. After a series of events, one suspect is dead and the other two taken into custody. Years ago when Hooker first joined the police force, his first assignment was in Chinatown, which gives him the edge to crack this new case. From a previous bust, Hooker's first clue takes him to the Mai Ling Trading Company looking for infor-mation. During his first years in Chinatown, he and Mai Ling had a very close relationship and he is truly sorry when he learns that she has since passed away. Nancy, Mai Ling's daughter who now works at the trading company, recognizes Hooker from her mother's old photographs, unfortunately knows nothing about the illegal guns. After questioning Nancy, her father Chow Dok Khan appears and it's evident that he dislikes Hooker. After some checking, Hooker learns that Chow Dok has been out of the country and his recent return coincides with the guns appearing on the streets. After a series of arrests and investigations, Hooker connects Chow Dok and Nancy's boyfriend George Po to the illegal gun operation. With the help of officer Corrigan, the department stages a buy of thousands of dollars of weapons. Unfortunately, Chow Dok spots the police officers during the sale and escapes. Meanwhile, Nancy discovers her father's cache of guns in a secret basement area of the trading company. But Chow Dok takes Nancy by surprise and holds her as his hostage. Hooker arrives and after a struggle, managed to overcome Chow Dok, once again cleaning up the illegal gun trade in Chinatown, at least for a while.
