The arduous journey for an education

Pupils living in Kranskop, on the edge of the Tugela River Valley in KwaZulu-Natal,

have to walk 26 kilometres through mountainous terrain every day, to get to school and back.

This is because the KwaZulu-Natal Education Department reportedly

doesn’t have the money to provide them with transport.

Nabeelah Shaikh spoke to some of the pupils and filed this report.
