ConCourt: Local government elections must go ahead

The Constitutional Court today dismissed the IEC's application for a postponement of this year’s local elections.

But Dr Kuhle Zwakala a political analyst and brand management analyst says this is rather surprising and disappointing because we’re still in a global pandemic.

The court further ordered that the IEC attempt to hold a voters' registration weekend. The election is expected to take place between 27 October and 1 November.
