By-elections done and dusted

This week by-elections saw the ANC hold onto all 10 of its existing wards and also gain two more wards.

The EFF, however, didn’t manage to gain any wards but saw a steady growth in the areas it previously had little to no support from.

It also did not go too well for the DA. Independent Elections Analyst, Dawie Scholtz who combed through the data,

says it’s clear that the opposition party is losing voters of colour.
