Hector Pieterson’s sister speaks

On Tuesday, we commemorated Youth Day, and reflected on what the day means to us. 

Annika Larsen spoke to Hector Pieterson’s sister, Antoinette Sithole. 

Pieterson was shot and killed during the 1976 Soweto uprising when police opened fire on students who protested against the implementation of teaching in Afrikaans.
