Protests against ‘brutal force’ of law enforcement

Over the weekend, religious leaders held a silent picket,

to protest against the brutality of law enforcement,

after the deaths of Collins Khosa, and George Floyd in the United States.

Khosa was assaulted in Alexandra two months ago by South African soldiers,

but those implicated in his murder was cleared of any wrong doing.

Melanie Rice spoke to civil society activist, Nomfundo Walaza

about the impact of the ‘Black Lives Matter’ movement in South Africa,

on young people, who have been speaking out about racism at schools online.
