Senior police officer off the hook

The State has withdrawn charges against a senior police officer accused of fraud and corruption, in the so-called ‘blue light’ police tender.

Major General Ravichandran Pillay appeared in the Palm Ridge Magistrates court on Monday alongside Vimpie Manthatha and several former senior colleagues.

The charges relate to a 191-million rand police tender.
