Unique penalty for tax evading surgeon

A 71-year-old orthopaedic surgeon at Rondebosch Medical Centre has been evading paying tax for the better part of eight years.

Instead of prison or paying a massive fine the National Prosecuting Authority opted for a diversion programme,

which saw the doc giving back to society. Our reporter, Natalie Malgas joined us earlier to explain exactly what Dr. Nisaar Moosa's punishment was.
