W Cape road fatalities on the rise

Since the start of December at least 110 road fatalities have been recorded on Western Cape roads.

Traffic authorities in the province have stepped up inspections and roadblocks in a bid to reduce the festive carnage.

Officials are also working with Eastern and Northern Cape counterparts to curb road fatalities.

Our reporter Natalie Malgas visited a long distance bus interchange to speak to drivers and commuters ahead of their long trek home.
