What happened to the ANC?

Let's be frank, the ANC took a beating at the polls this week.

The party is licking its wounds and furiously scrambling to arrange coalitions after it received less than 50% of the vote nationally.

The ANC's National Executive Committee will now meet on Sunday to discuss which parties to get into bed with and examine what went wrong.
