Zim activists plead for help from SA

The South African government has been urged to step in and assist Zimbabwean journalist Hopewell Chin’ono, who remains in prison, after a Harare magistrate refused to grant him bail.

Chin’ono was re-arrested last week on new charges of obstructing justice.

Melanie Rice spoke to Zimbabwean activist Jacob Ngarivhume, who was initially detained with Chin’ono. 

Ngarivhume is currently out on bail.
