SADTU: ‘Schools are not coping’

The South African Democratic Teachers’ Union says the COVID-19 pandemic

has caused major problems and schools are simply not coping.

The union’s spokesperson, Nomusa Cembi, has called for an education stimulus package to be introduced.

This is to help schools that are not surviving due to infrastructure challenges,

personnel shortages and the lack of personal protective equipment.
