Cop and A Half Comes to eVOD on 24 September

Johannesburg is about to get a whole lot more chaotic as the South African action-comedy Cop and A Half arrives on eVOD on 24 September 2026, bringing together crime, comedy, action and an unlikely partnership that proves two very different personalities can make one formidable team.

Set in the heart of bustling Johannesburg, Cop and A Half follows Jon, a by-the-book cop played by Jonathan Boynton-Lee, whose commitment to doing things by the book is put to the test when he is reluctantly paired with Trev, a smooth-talking informant played by Trevor Gumbi.

When the unlikely duo finds themselves navigating Johannesburg's dangerous underworld of drug trafficking, their differences quickly become impossible to ignore. But with a ruthless gang of drug dealers standing in their way, the pair must put their differences aside if they are going to crack the case.

Leading the cast is Jonathan Boynton-Lee as Jon, alongside Trevor Gumbi as Trev. Joining them is a stellar ensemble of South African talent, including Noxolo Dlamini as Busi, Jack Devnarain as Captain Dhoni, and Stevel Marc as Boy-Boy.
