Struggling to keep up appearances, Amy reaches a breaking point. She decides to reject the pressure of being the “perfect mom.” She forms an unlikely friendship with Carla, a carefree single mother, and Kiki, an overburdened parent controlled by strict routines. Together, they begin to challenge expectations, choosing to embrace freedom over constant responsibility.

Their behavior draws the attention of Gwendolyn, the highly organized leader of the school’s parent association, who represents the standard Amy is trying to escape. As tensions rise, Amy and her friends openly oppose the rigid system that governs school activities and parenting expectations.

The conflict escalates when Amy decides to run against Gwendolyn for leadership, turning the situation into a public competition. As the campaign unfolds, Amy must balance her new outlook with her responsibilities at home, where her children begin to notice the changes.

With pressure building from all sides, Amy works to redefine what it means to be a good parent while staying true to her choices. Bad Moms unfolds as a comedy centered on breaking routine and challenging expectations, following a group determined to take control of their lives and redefine balance on their own terms.
