Richie Rich

Meet Richard “Richie” Rich Jr., the wealthiest child in the world, living in a palace of toys, gadgets, private jets, and vaults. Despite all the luxury, Richie wants something no amount of money can buy: a friend his own age. 

His parents, billionaire philanthropists Richard Sr. and Regina Rich, trust their enormous fortune and beloved mansion to the loyal butler Herbert Cadbury and brilliant inventor Professor Keenbean. But when business manager Laurence Van Dough discovers that the Rich family might be out of the picture, he plots to seize their empire. With their parents missing after a mysterious plane crash, Richie suddenly inherits everything, and Van Dough moves in to steal it all. 

Richie doesn’t stand alone. With Cadbury’s help and the arrival of a new group of friends from the local sandlot, Richie learns to stand up for what he values. He puts aside his golden toys and high-tech gear to face real danger: the boss who thinks money buys everything, including loyalty. Together, they foil Van Dough’s plan, reclaim the family legacy, and discover that true richness comes from friendship, courage and kindness. 

The film blends big-budget fantasy with genuine heart. While some critics noted its polished look and far-fetched premise, many found charm in Culkin’s performance and the playful tone. 

At its core, Richie Rich is a story about discovering what matters when the vault is open, the toys are everywhere, and real friends are still hard to find.
