Surf’s Up

Cody Maverick is a young rockhopper penguin from Shiverpool in Antarctica. Even though the others laugh, Cody dreams of becoming a great surfer like his hero, the legendary Big Z. When a talent scout comes looking for contestants for the Big Z Memorial Surf Off, Cody jumps at the chance. 

On his journey, he meets Chicken Joe, a cheerful and clumsy rooster. Together, they head to Pen-Gu Island, where Cody meets Lani, a lifeguard penguin who challenges him and shows him what it means to be brave. His waves wet and wobbly, Cody first loses a duel against the confident king penguin, Tank, and gets injured, but the kind inventor Geek helps him heal. 

Geek turns out to be Big Z himself, who has stopped surfing because he lost his spark. He teaches Cody that surfing isn't just about winning, it's about joy, balance, and being true to yourself. Cody starts to learn, laughs more, and begins to find his own rhythm. 

When the final competition arrives, Cody's focus isn't on beating Tank but enjoying the ride. He may not win, but he finds something better.
