Queen Poppy and Branch discover that their Troll tribe is only one of six musical kingdoms scattered across the world. Each kingdom represents a different style of music, including pop, rock, techno, country, classical, and funk. The peaceful balance between them is threatened when Queen Barb of the rock kingdom sets out to destroy all other music and make rock the only sound in existence.

Barb gathers magical strings that power each music genre, planning to unite them and control every Troll. When Poppy learns of the danger, she refuses to accept that music must be divided. Determined to stop Barb, she and Branch leave their home to warn the other kingdoms and protect their musical identities.

As they travel, they encounter Trolls who live by very different rules and sounds. Some kingdoms are welcoming, while others are cautious or defensive. Poppy’s belief that everyone can get along is challenged when she realizes that not all leaders share her optimism.

Meanwhile, Branch struggles with his growing feelings for Poppy, unsure how to express himself while the world faces collapse. Back home, friends attempt to defend their kingdom as Barb’s army advances.

The journey leads to a confrontation where music becomes both a weapon and a bridge. As tensions reach their peak, Poppy must decide how to respond to a threat that cannot be defeated by force alone.
