Billion rand injection for Aspen

The R10 billion investment into Aspen Pharmacare has been hailed as a huge boost for vaccine capability in Africa.

Several global entities, led by the World Bank, are financing the deal, including the production of vaccines.

Aspen is set to produce 500 million J&J doses by 2022.

CEO Stephen Saad says this deal allows Africa to serve its own.
