Bra Dan, a true revolutionary

A mighty tree has fallen.

South Africans are mourning the loss of struggle hero Dan Sechaba Montsitsi,

an iconic figure of the 1976 Soweto uprising. Bra Dan died of COVID-19 complications. He was 67 years old.

The freedom fighter spent three years on Robben Island and tributes are streaming in from far and wide

for a man described as a revolutionary. Murphy Morobe of Defend our Democracy says Bra Dan still had so much to give the country.
