Bushiri hands himself over to the Hawks

Self-proclaimed prophet, Shepherd Bushiri, and his wife, Mary have been arrested.

The pair face charges of fraud and money laundering, worth more than R100 million.

Bushiri's wife was arrested at the couple's Sandton home on Tuesday morning.

After initially trying to evade arrest, Bushiri and an entourage of attorneys arrived at the Silverton police station this afternoon, where he handed himself over to the Hawks.
