Cape community in COVID-19 isolation

An entire community along the Cape West Coast is in COVID isolation.

30 new infections were detected in the last seven days in Kliprand, in the Matzikama district.

This may not seem like a lot but the town only has a population of 250 residents and they’ve been struggling to survive under the mandatory stay home orders.

The town’s one school, soup kitchen and shops, also closed because of the outbreak. This week, Gift of the Givers stepped in to help.
