Commemorating African spirituality

Could South Africa have a day of brewing umqombothi for the ancestors?

Well, The Congress for Traditional Leaders of South Africa, is calling for a day to commemorate African spirituality, and what they call Ancestors Day, to

be recognised across the country. It’s a discussion that has certainly got South Africans' ears pricked.

To share his thoughts on this, we were joined by His Royal Highness Zolani Mkiva, the general secretary of Contralesa on Thursday.

He says it fundamental to recognise that we are a product of those that came before us, and we should not forget them.
