Cops among 106 Cape extortion arrests

Police officers are among a string of arrests, in ongoing investigations into an extortion racket, that's rampant in the Western Cape.

Since a task team was devised to look into these crimes in September last year, 106 people have been arrested.

In an operation last month, even a member of the Deputy Defence Minister's protection unit, was taken into custody.
