The cost of fighting corruption

The fight to root out corruption is a fight for the soul of South Africa.

So says lecturer and prominent South African whistleblower Athol Williams, in the wake of the murder of Gauteng health official Babita Deokaran.

Williams paid the price for exposing corruption. He was asked to resign from his job at UCT after testifying at the Zondo Commission.

Williams says whistleblowers are on their own.
