COVID-19: Hunger, schooling and mental health

The cost of COVID-19 lockdowns and the pandemic as a whole has been extremely high for millions of South Africans, even for those of us who haven’t contracted the virus.

The final wave of results from the NIDS-Corona Virus Rapid Mobile Survey show that the vast majority of South Africans are eager to be vaccinated. But the results also show just how devastating the pandemic has been overall.
