CSA averts massive crisis

A turbulent weekend in South African cricket has seemingly hit calmer waters.

Cricket South Africa’s Members’ Council and interim board have reached a historic agreement.

Sports Minister Nathi Mthethwa announced on Friday that he will be stripping CSA of funding and recognition

as SA cricket's governing body. The move came after months of resistance from CSA’s Members Council

to accept a Memorandum of Incorporation by the interim board which would ensure a new permanent board of majority independent directors.

Today, CSA announced that all parties involved met today and finally settled on an amended MOI.

On Monday we caught up with Cricket writer Telford Vice, who explained some of the big changes.
