CT novelist up for big award

South African playwright and novelist Damon Galgut has recently been shortlisted for the illustrious Booker Prize award.

His latest novel titled ‘The Promise' has drawn rave reviews and has garnered enough attention to be 1 of 6 shortlisted for the Prize.

The Booker Prize is awarded to the best novel written in English and published in Ireland or the United Kingdom.

Damon joined us to take us through the process of writing the novel and also what it means to him to be shortlisted for the prestigious prize.
