Easing lockdown regulations

South Africa has been moved to adjusted lockdown level one.

Gatherings have been limited to 50 percent capacity of a venue while 750 people are allowed indoors and 2 000 outdoors. It is believed that the numbers were increased to accommodate the upcoming government election.

But this also increases the risk of infection. Professor of Public Health at the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal Mosa Moshabela says more thought should have been given to protecting the health of citizens.
