Is enough being done to help GBV survivors during the lockdown?

Minister of Police, Bheki Cele, recently announced that about

87 000 gender-based violence complaints were reported during first week of lockdown.

That is three times the number of reports the police usually receives.

But what resources are available at this time to help victims and is enough being done to protect them?

Director of the Women's Legal Centre, Seeham Samaai, answered some of these questions.
