The Four of Us: Bobbi’s Life-Changing Question to Ndumi
You know those moments when life can change in the blink of an eye? For Bobbi and Ndumi, that moment comes when an ordinary day turns into a terrifying fight for survival.
Bobbi finds Ndumi being mugged by robbers and, without thinking twice, rushes in to help her. He tries to fight them off, but things quickly get out of control when one of the robbers pulls out a knife.
Bobbi tries to stop him, but he doesn’t get there in time.
Instead, Bobbi is stabbed.
Ndumi is left completely shocked. Watching Bobbi get hurt while trying to protect her, she immediately starts calling for help. But as she desperately tries to get someone to come to their aid, Bobbi is lying there injured and facing a moment that makes him think about everything.
And suddenly, one thought becomes impossible to ignore: life is simply too short.
Bobbi has spent so much time navigating love, family and everything life has thrown at him. But lying there, hurt and vulnerable, he realises that there are some things you shouldn’t keep putting off.
So, in the middle of all the chaos, Bobbi turns to Ndumi.
And he asks her to marry him.
It’s not the proposal anyone would have expected. There are no grand gestures, no romantic setting and certainly no perfect moment. There is only Bobbi, injured but determined to say what is in his heart, and Ndumi, still trying to process the terrifying moment they have just survived.
For Ndumi, the question comes at a moment when she is overwhelmed with fear and emotion.
But then comes the answer Bobbi has been hoping for.
Ndumi says yes.
After everything they have been through, the two finally take a step towards the future they have been dreaming about.
It’s a reminder that sometimes, it takes a frightening moment to make us realise what truly matters – and for Bobbi, that is Ndumi.
But with danger, family drama and complicated relationships never far away, will their happily-ever-after really be as simple as saying “I do”?
