Freedom of Religion SA to approach the courts

Michael Swain, the Executive Director of Freedom of Religion SA says if the ban on religious gatherings are not lifted, it could lead to civil disobedience.

Freedom of Religion SA, has approached the Johannesburg High Court, in a bid to have the indefinite ban on religious gatherings overturned.

Swain says the ban is unconstitutional and unfairly discriminates against the religious community.
