Homeless take City of Cape Town to court

The City of Cape Town maintains it acted within the law when it removed a group of homeless people living on the periphery of the Green Point Common.

But the destitute say officials stormed the grounds impounded more than 20 of their shelters and trashed their personal items illegally. The homeless are now challenging their eviction in court.
