Independent candidates ready to contest

It’s time to elect the people not politicians.

That’s the message from Mmusi Maimane’s One SA Movement today as independent candidates registered for next month’s election came together to sign the people’s pledge.

Over 1000 independent candidates are registered for the upcoming local government election.

The former DA leader is not contesting for a position next month himself but he says it’s time for independent candidates to shine.
