Magistrate hearing Kinnear murder case shot

As more alleged underworld conspiracies are exposed the Western Cape High Court today heard of a 'series of unfortunate coincidences', targeting witnesses and the presiding officer in one of the province’s most high-profile cases. This was revealed during Zane Kilian’s bail bid challenge today.

He’s trying to overturn a decision that dismissed his first bail application.

Kilian and alleged underworld crime boss Nafiz Modak are accused of racketeering extortion and murder among others.

On the weekend, the magistrate presiding over the case was shot at a carwash in Mfuleni.
