Pupils speak out about racism at schools

Protests in support of ‘Black Lives Matter’, continue to gain momentum around the world,
and pupils here in South Africa,  at several top and former Model C schools, have been sharing their own experiences on social media platforms.   

Melanie Rice spoke to Malaika Ngwenya, the Head Girl of St Cyprian’s School in Cape Town about her experiences at the school. She also spoke to the school principal Shelley Frayne, who says she is committed to taking concrete steps to address issues of racism.
