SA sailor's record transatlantic row

59-year-old South African adventurer Zirk Botha has set a new world record after rowing from South Africa to Brazil in just over 70 days.

He covered the total distance of 7200 kilometres on a boat powered all alone with nothing but elbow grease.

The former naval officer joined us from Cabo Frio just outside Rio de Janeiro on Tuesday to talk about this

grueling adventure he took on, all in the name of the planet and sustainable development.
