SIU report must translate into action

Criticism continues to mount against the health department in the wake of the SIU’s scathing report on the Digital Vibes saga.

The SIU found that former Health Minister Zweli Mkhize's conduct in appointing Digital Vibes was improper and unlawful.

The report also says there's evidence that Mkhize and his son Dedani benefitted from the R150 million contract.

Kavisha Pillay from Corruption Watch says these reports are all good and well but decisive action needs to flow from them.

So, what happens to the R150 million of our taxpayer money awarded to Digital Vibes? According to the SIU it will try to recover the money by all means necessary.
