Stage 4 blackouts in full effect

“Last year the country experienced its worst loadshedding on record and it seems like 2021 will exceed that”.

This is the opinion of energy expert Lungile Mashele who joined us on Wednesday shortly after Eskom announced that it will move to Stage 4 power cuts.

She says at this stage we should be asking Eskom how far we are from a complete breakdown.
