Strike at Rand Water from Wednesday

Workers at Rand Water are expected to down tools this coming Wednesday.

The South African Municipal Worker Union announced its members would go on strike as a result of their conditions of employment being changed.

Papikie Mohale, the spokesperson for the SA Municipal Workers Union, Samwu,

says it’s unacceptable that an employer just wakes up and decides that it won’t be paying bonuses.
