Suspect arrested for sending pupil into pit toilet

On Monday, etv news brought you an exclusive story about an 11-year-old pupil, who was allegedly coerced into going down a pit latrine by his school principal to retrieve his cellphone.

We can confirm that a man, believed to be the principal of Lututu Junior Secondary School in the Eastern Cape, has been arrested in connection with the incident. He has been charged with attempted murder.
