Tanzania’s new president

Samia Suluhu Hassan has made history in Tanzania after being sworn in as its first female president of the country.

Her inauguration follows the death of John Magufuli earlier this week.

Steven Gruzd, from the South African Institute of International Affairs meanwhile joined us to discuss the road ahead for Hassan.

He says she will face challenges, but adds that this can only be positive news for women empowerment.
