Tourism Equity Fund frozen

The North Gauteng High Court has decided to temporary put a hold on government’s Tourism Equity Fund.

The ruling means that government cannot process applications or make payments to businesses from the fund.

The matter was taken to court by lobby groups, Afriforum and Solidarity.

They are accusing government of excluding white people from the fund.
